Greetings From The Mayor

I am the Mayor here at KnittyWittyCity (KWC). Citizenship is open to all who knit and anyone can contribute as they see fit. At this time I read all the posts before I allow them to be added so if any of you are younger than 18, have no fear. Nothing will ever be posted there that your parents can’t read if you let them.

Knitting has been with me since I was 4 yrs old and now I’m 58 so you can do the math. There was never any time to join knitting groups until this year. Life was busy raising children who are now all gone and married. The grandsons are not quite as demanding as the sons were so there’s far more time to play online.

There are no problems with anyone privately contacting me but I think it’s nicer for all of us if we restrict that to personal business and knives in or pats on the back.

There are no daughters only daughters-in-law but it's just as easy speaking with females as males. At least the females around me are happy. I’ve wondered about that at times because it's true that the female and male brains are not the same and it's about time world of science has gotten with the program. But knitting is the same and the best knitting quote is that the only place for gender in knitting is in the fitting room. Yes, all learn differently and the gender does have a slight part in that process but not enough to make teaching of one gender any easier or more difficult than the other.

Yours truly,
Mayor of KnittyWittyCity
